This has been an intense season of travel and work. Since my last post I have been traveling extensively, including a trip with my family. We put 4,000 miles on our family minivan in just over two weeks, which included seeing Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, The Black Hills, and Yellowstone. Have YOU seen a Moose lately? Not to mention Elk, Black Bear, Mountain Sheep, Antelope... What an awesome time it was to refresh, renew, and enjoy my wonderful wife and kids.
One interesting thing was being in The Black Hills at the time the worlds biggest motorcycle rally was going on - Sturgis. There were motorcycles everywhere. Lucky for me, I was soon to be on my way to speak at a church in Phoenix where the pastor is part of a motorcycle club - so I bought him a way cool shirt to present to him. The story of a Harley riding pastor - for fun and for Jesus - with a bunch of rough and tough guys, really they are, is a blog all on its own. Another day perhaps. God can put together some great details for us, imagine being through the worlds largest motorcycle rally before meeting the only Harley riding, tattooed, motorcycle club treasurer pastor that I know. Fun!
I guess I need to really enter into this blog thing and do things like take pictures of the presentation of the Sturgis shirt to my friend - maybe I will remember next time.
I have some notes on the next blogs I need to write, but for now I wanted to share an interview that was one of the most fun I have done. Steve Brown and his friends took some time to talk to me about Feel in such a relevant and light-hearted way, it was a favorite moment for me. Enjoy.
